His industry & geographical background includes; Oil & Gas with Shell & Addax Petroleum in West Africa, British Petroleum (BP) downstream & upstream in the UK, Manufacturing & Engineering with General Electric in Africa and Management Consulting with Capgemini UK. Consulting experience includes procurement process transformation and strategic sourcing of Indirect categories (HR & IT) for clients in Manufacturing & Public Sectors.
His deep knowledge of procurement organisational & process transformation has been acquired through the experience of implementing Category Management, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management processes, in different organisations. This also includes the experience of deploying Procurement systems including SAP Materials Management Module, Ariba’s Strategic Sourcing Solution and Biznet Solutions (for supplier Performance Management.).
Val holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Mathematics, an MBA in Management, and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
