The CIPS Applied Learning – Corporate Award is a practical, work-based programme that offers a route to MCIPS and delivers proven return on investment for your organisation.
How does it work?
Instead of exams learners undertake a series of 2-day workshops over a 9 month period, submitting work-based assignments along the way. To build on this, the Advanced Practitioner has a further 6 months for a major project to be undertaken within learners’ organisations to drive efficiency, cost savings, and risk reductions – demonstrating tangible return on investment for organisations whilst rewarding the individual with skills and MCIPS certification.
When can you join?
We are currently running this programme across the African continent, both on an in-house basis and open syndicated courses for individuals to join. The programme is also now available to join virtually. Contact us for more information.
Who is eligible to join?
There are two levels Practitioner, which is equivalent to the CIPS Level 4 Diploma; and Advanced Practitioner which is broadly equivalent to the Advanced & Professional Diploma and leads to MCIPS on completion. The practitioner is completed within 6-9 months, whilst Advanced practitioner is completed in 15 months.
Everyone can start at Practitioner, however, direct entry to Advanced Practitioner requires individuals to hold either the CIPS Level 4 Diploma OR to successfully pass a 90-minute online competency assessment.
We typically invite procurement managers or those with 3 years’ experience who have completed internal training to apply for the advanced programme.
